Jailbroken app of the week: Orbit

Orbit is a new app from developer Steven Troughton-Smith that is basically Exposé for the iPhone and iPod touch. For those who don’t know what Exposé is, it allows you to bring up all open windows, or in this case all iPhone app pages and locate the one you want to bring up very fast. When I first heard about this, I thought it was a dream come true. Orbit is especially useful for those that have a lot of pages of apps. With Orbit you don’t need to swipe through all your pages to find one app.

Orbit works like this, you press it’s icon and it brings up all the pages on your iPhone or iPod. Then you can find the page you want to navigate to and find the app you want to launch. Pretty simple, right?

Orbit is available only for jailbroken users with Cydia. The current price for it is $1.99 but that isn’t so much money right guys?

Personally Orbit is one of the most useful jailbroken apps I’ve ever used. It makes navigating to different pages of your iPhone very easy and fast. I recommend that you leave it on your dock so it will be on every page with you and you can access it very quickly. Orbit is probably up there on my reasons why you should jailbreak.
